General Guidelines & Format for Submission of Research & Development Project for Financial Grant

In order to give an impetus to the application-oriented research, transfer of appropriate design and technology for the development of rural areas and human society; the IRDCP stays focused on R&D activities.

The submission of research projects can be done strictly following the established guidelines, comprising the general terms and conditions for the financial support for inviting research proposals from the Students / Researchers / Professors working across the globe in any educational institution, be it any School or College or University.

The following sacrosanct guidelines ought to be adhered to while submitting the research projects:

1. Nature of Project: The project should be application-oriented to improve the quality of life for the rural population, or it should be intended for social development.
2. Research Areas: The research proposals are invited for the advancement in the fields of Engineering / Technology / Social Science / Agriculture / Environmental / Energy / Medical Pharma / Health Research / Common diseases and their preventive methods / Economics and Management / Drinking water problems.
3. Proposal ID Creation: There will be an acknowledgment of each proposal with the allocation of unique Proposal ID through email. All future communication pertaining to the proposal will have a reference for Proposal ID.
4. Grant Rule: The institution/ organization will be entitled to receive a grant for a research project on behalf of its team members for their exclusive usage on the project approved.
5. Disbursement Rule of Grant: The grant approved will be paid as a consolidated amount in regular monthly installments or as per the project requirements.
6. Submission of Progress Report: A monthly report will have to be submitted to the Director, IRDCP, failing which, the monthly grant will be held back.
7. Duration of Project: The maximum duration of the project will be 8 months.
8. Submission of Completion Report: Once the project is over, the comprehensive project completion report will have to be submitted with the signature and stamp of University / Institute head
9. Statutory Conditions:

A) In the future, if the project is to be commercialized, prior permission will have to be obtained from the Director IRDCP.

B) If the project is to be applied for publication to any journal, the authors need to acknowledge to IRDCP.

C) Applying for the grant is does not ensure Guarantee that the same will be accepted or approved. The proposal will be reviewed by the core field reviewer and Director IRDCP. The final decision about the selection and approved grant amount will be in the hands of the Director IRDCP.

D) The review process may take up to 6 months.

E)  The submission of the project proposal will be in the prescribed format only through email along with the scanned copy of the Aadhar Card/ Government approved Certificate of each team member to be eligible for further processing.
